I am a fun, happy, single looking for someone with a positive outlook, good sense of humor/quick wit, and kind heart. (You make me laugh - but not at someone else's expense.) I believe variety makes life interesting -- I enjoy exploring different cultures, talking to people whose lives are totally different than mine, and - in general- trying new and different things. I am a hard worker and pretty independent. I am a little bit of a nerd and think that smart is sexy. The modern girl in me can be assertive at work, tackle a home improvement project, and is open for new challenges. There is also an old-fashioned girl in me who enjoys entertaining, canning, and gardening and believes that femininity is a positive quality.
You are confident and don't mind a girl who is fairly self-sufficient. (That being said - I can truly appreciate a guy who doesn't mind occasionally lifting something heavy, killing a scary bug, or letting me cry on his shoulder during a sappy movie.) You are open-minded, enjoy traveling, will get out on the dance floor with me, can appreciate a great meal that consists of something beyond meat and potatoes, and are more often upbeat than grumpy.
