ABOUT HIM & WHO HE'S LOOKING FOR

Im learning that I'm more of a novelty than a possible mate. I'm everything that my profile proposes on how to treat a woman. I'm convinced though that the scumbag will always trump the romantic. Think about it. Look how old you are. We're on Match. Things haven't exactly gone to plan. Everyone around my age has at some point in their life felt like they got the bus run over them by someone in a relationship. It's happened to all of us. What surprised me though was how bitter a lot of those people were and felt that a new guy was going to do the same thing to them. I also can't believe how the other guys on Match could strongly influence a girls perception of me. "How do I know you're not like the other guys on Match??" That seemed to be the flavor of the week question. I really never got a chance to prove that I wasn't. I'm as normal as Apple Pie, but I firmly believe I'm a lot smarter than other guys when it comes to being with a significant other. I'm hoping to meet a girl that didn't let other guys influence or change who they have been the entire time. But, I don't think girls want feel like a princess. There's no challenge in that. So anyway, how about I break out my best Dr. Phil. Here goes.

There is always a certain way in which you need to treat women. It's not rocket science rather a matter of common sense.

A guy has to be a good listener. Most women believe that men don't know how to listen. Some men have this tendency to force their opinions upon women and never give them a chance to talk about their point of view or opinion. She's telling you things for a reason. If a guy would indeed listen, arguing would definitely be less likely to happen. And is arguing really fun?? I know I don't like feeling like garbage after an argument. Do you??

Give respect and get it. One of the best ways to get respect from a woman is to simply give it. The more you respect her the more you would get it back. Didn't our mothers teach us that at a very young age?? Treat others as you want to be treated.

You know those little things that everyone wants. I really don't think of them as little because they play such an important part in a healthy relationship. It definitely shouldn't be a chore for someone to do those things for their significant other. A simple note left on the table is just as powerful as a night out on the town.

This is a big one. To make a woman feel the way she wants to around a man, you must allow her to experience a wide range of desirable emotions when she is around you. A lot of guys make the mistake of sticking to being nice, polite and friendly when interacting with women. They should be like that, but a guy still has to shown signs of mascunility. She's looking for someone to protect her and make her feel safe. Why do you think they ask us to kill the spiders?? Be a man and do it. That's a masculine way of being nice. Did that make sense?? Ha...

Women also want you to make them feel feminine. This is especially important because it seems now more than ever that women are forced to behave in a masculine way (ie like men) in their day jobs and many other parts of their life. These days, most women are desperately wishing they could be with a man who knows how to make her feel like a real woman.

In a nutshell, it boils down to something so friggin' easy. What a woman wants is for you to make her feel good. She wants to experience a more meaningful, emotionally fulfilling life with you. Don't be jealous about other guys at work. Don't get mad if she goes out with the girls. You're not the only one who thinks she's pretty. Other guys are going to think it too. But if you handle things right, she's ignoring those other guys and coming back home to you and she's excited about it. She's the best investment you've made. Make her happy.

Do us both a favor. Think about the now. Forget about the past. Do you really want the kind of relationship you're used to?? Arbys nailed it. Change is good...

Any Auntie Anne's pretzel shop!! It's like finding the hidden treasure, with the treasure being decadent morsels of twisted bread, butter and salt. Also a sturdy Bouncy Castle can be quite fun.

I'm not going to try to sugar coat this. I'm a guy. The extent of my reading is the sports page, Mens Health Magazine, and Sports Illustrated. Oh wait, I remember I was defiant towards my parents and read Bill Clinton's "My Life." That was funny.
