How to describe my ideal match... I'm certain when I know I've found something special, but "it" always surprises me. Sometimes it's chemistry you can't explain and don't expect (I've loved a man who would never be my "singled out" daily match), sometimes it is brains (ok, brains always for me), sometimes it is a confident smile and gentle kindness. It's always confidence, manners, interest in the world around you. It's always someone who cares for themselves well. I love to be with people who share my love of life - food and wine, our beautiful city, music, the outdoors. I love being pushed on hard runs, and celebrating a strong finish. While we're on the subject of runs... Why can't there be an option for women to select for body type that is "about average/curvy AND athletic and toned"? That would be most accurate:). Currently working back into a running groove after a setback... So I'm loving adding Bikram yoga practice. Feeds my soul, mind and body in incredible ways). I recently saw a married couple in class - positioned right in front of me. They were so separate and strong in their individual practices -- never even glanced at one another. And when class was over and the rest of us were quietly rolling up our mats, they stayed lying close to one another -- fingers laced and her pinky toe on his leg. I miss that.
I am terribly affectionate, and am a sucker for genuine wit and a man who modestly fills up a room. A good belly laugh is always welcomed.
A recovering workaholic who spent my early career days in insanely demanding positions in the public sector, I now work in the non-profit sector focusing on youth and education, and I truly care about my community. I still work hard, but I have found a better path towards balance.
I love time on my porch with neighbors, and friends consider my house "the hub". (There is almost always an open bottle of wine around here). Half the week there are two amazing kiddos here, and half the week I'm a single person living a great life while they live with their awesome dad. I love my garden, and spend a lot of time walking in my urban hood admiring architecture, history and people.
While I'm happily occupied with my kiddos and their amazing lives, work, reading, entertaining, dreaming of traveling again, working out, friends and family, I'm ready again to have a partner. There's so much goodness to share.
