I laugh a lot and can find a silver-lining in almost any situation. I value my family and my friends, and try my best to maintain a good work-life balance. I love to spend nice, sunny days outside (even if that just means reading at the park), and choose patio seating over inside seating nearly 100% of the time.
If you asked my friends about me, they would probably mention my enthusiasm for nearly anything, the fact that I can't go anywhere without a cardigan, my use of the phrase "good one!", and my inability to learn music lyrics or artists (despite unending amounts of friendly coaching).
A recent adventure was completing my first Ragnar Relay! I pulled together a team of 10 friends (from all stages of life) to run a 200 mile relay from San Francisco to Napa. We had a great time, and ended the weekend with wine tasting in Napa Valley and hiking around to some beautiful views of the Golden Gate.
I am Christian (I grew up Presbyterian), and I try to display love and compassion in all aspects of my life. I work for an education non-profit (math curriculum) and I think teachers are heroes. I also think kids are hilarious.
I am pretty new to Houston, and my favorite thing so far is definitely the people I encounter every day, but I could do without the humidity! If I could jet-set for a bit, you might find me in California or New York visiting family, or hiking Machu Picchu (which I haven't done yet, but would love to do sometime soon!).
