I am new to online dating and figured it would be something new to try. A little about me, I grew up in a small town in North Carolina and couldn't have asked for a better childhood. My family and friends still liver there, so I try and get back when I can. After college I needed a job, so I packed up and moved to DC. I didn't know a soul and found a random roommate, and the journey started. It was hard to adjust to living a big city, but almost three years later, I am still here. I have a great group of friends and an amazing job and I couldn't ask for any more than that!
I am finally in a place where most of the puzzle pieces have fallen into place, so to speak. Great friends, check. Great job, check. So here I am loving life and looking for someone to share it with. While I am outgoing and love meeting new people, it isn't my personality to try and meet guys at a bar. So I thought I would give online dating a shot.
My friends would describe me as funny, never shy when it comes to cracking a joke, honest and caring. I would go out of my way to help any of my friends and not even think twice.
Qualities that are important to me, is honesty, good sense of humor, and caring. Someone who allows me to push them but also pushes me to be better. I think it is important to find someone who wants to learn new things from me, but also wants to teach me about the things they are passionate about. Ultimately I am looking for someone who is down to earth, someone I could be friends with, a partner in crime, and someone who makes me laugh so hard I cry.
I am usually game for whatever and I like to try new things. I am up for a night on the town, hitting a local bar, hearing a band, or just something low key, like staying home and cooking dinner. My friends and I are always trying to plan a fun weekend activity. More often than not, the best weekends are the ones not planned, because they are spontaneous and go with the flow.
