Just a little about me - I'm a very grounded blue collar professional, hard working, old fashioned, traditional kind of guy with good morals and values, ALWAYS maintaining a positive outlook on life. I'm told I look young for my age. You can decide this for yourself. (My photos were taken in May 2009)
To be honest and up front with people has always been my way and it's important to me for the people in my life to be the same. Good communication is so important. I've had people in my life who couldn't communicate their thoughts and feelings to me. This will end up badly every time.
My ability to be honest and up front with people is partly how I've been able to maintain good friendships and a successful business. I always take the "high road" and never do anything to mislead or take advantage of anyone.
I'm a designer / remodeling contractor in the Capital District of N.Y. and am currently building a new home in the countryside near Albany. Lots of work, but lots of fun, too! My plan as of now is to get it completed and move into it by summer 2011. Any possibility you can eventually relocate? It's going to be a beautiful, unique custom home on four acres with a brook running through the back yard, and close to Albany, which is a great, growing city.
My hobbies and interests are many and varied. I especially enjoy travel, outdoor activities and spending weekends at my cabin in the Adirondacks. Great place for kayaking, hiking and skiing.
I've never been into the bar scene and am not looking for anyone who needs a drink to have a good time, although a glass of wine with dinner could be nice.
I have been in several relationships but have yet to find someone where things just fall into place in a mutual way. I don't play headgames! If I'm interested in you, I'll let you know and will be clear about it. Can you handle that??
I'm looking for someone who is attractive, caring, uncomplicated, grounded, honest, intellectual, athletic and in shape, and who appreciates a man with the same qualities. I'm also attracted to women who are on the reserved side and not so much the "life of the party" type.
If you have children, great! I love kids and miss not having any of my own. Perhaps having a child of "our" own is still in my future. This would be wonderful, as I know I'd make a great dad. My first priority however, is to find my match.
If you see yourself in what I'm writing, don't hesitate to contact me. If you don't post a current photo, please send one on. I don't feel comfortable asking for one.
Please don't let distance be a problem. There are often ways around that.
Have a great winter (if that's possible) and I hope to hear from you.
