Last year I lost my wife to a long battle with cancer. Now, I am trying to regain the passion for life, and "get back out there". And so far, the clouds are lifting and I'm starting to have fun again. Though clearly the most difficult challenge in life thus far,I am trying to focus on the present, and begin to look toward the future. I'm a down to earth guy, with a dry sense of humor. Though I've had good success from a career standpoint, and really like my job, I don't take myself too seriously.
I really enjoy travel, and since my situation has changed at home, I plan on travelling a lot in the months and years ahead, when I can get away from work. I really enjoy exotic and different locations, especially those that are tropical and on the beach. I really enjoy Miami Beach (South Beach!)
About me: I'm considerate, thoughtful, hard working, atheltic, punctual, likes adventure every now and then, willing to try new things and places. I love animals, as well. I have my faults, but in general I think I'm a real good person, and a great dad. I like to plan - especially travel! I can be very independent (though not while traveling), but also enjoy social or small group settings. I definitely value my "alone" time, or time with just me and one other person. But I also love hanging out with my kids, and they still enjoy hanging out with dad...I think :)
I'm looking for someone who is genuine, smart, sweet, cute, athletic, positive, likes to travel, has a zest for living and is outgoing. Hopefully that's not too much to ask for - but I'm willing to be patient to find the right one. I'm looking to get to know someone slowly, but have a great time along the way! I'm open to entertaining long distance relationships (if it's in an area of the country that I like visiting), but we would obviously have to have a connection from the beginning. I'm willing to look hard to find the right person...Bay Area, LA, NY or Miami, or somewhere in between or beyond.
My friends have told me I won't have a problem meeting someone. The real challenge is meeting the right one. I'm looking forward to some great experiences with someone new!
