Here?s the thing: I?ve read quite a few of these profiles and found ?honesty? to be mentioned time and time again as being of the utmost importance (no disagreement). So, love it or hate it, that?s what I?m going to try to deliver. I have given online dating a few random tries in the past, so I know how this works. You look at my picture, play a little game of hot or not and then maybe, possibly, probably not, but sort of skim my profile for buzz words and red flags like ?Miley Cyrus? ?9 cats,? and ?my mom is my BFF.? (None of which apply to me, just saying). So, if you are in fact reading this, awesome! I will try to make it worth your while.
What you should know about me is?
1.) I am a normal, sane, completely level headed, down to earth, sensible, practical, normal, normal and normal guy. I grew up in a Michigan suburb, built forts in the woods, did well in college, learned manners and morals and right from wrong. I have two supportive, happily married parents, and a little sister.
2.) I am who I say I am. I realize one of the most daunting things about this is the possibility of showing up for a ?date? or ?meeting? or whatever you want to call it, and realizing, ?oh snap, I'm 80 pounds heavier than my photo!? Rest assured, my photo really and truly is me, 100% un-photoshopped. No, I don?t model for Abercrombie and if you are looking for (a guy that knows more about hair products then cars) I?m not him either. But I am attractive and stylish and word on the street is I have a great smile, amazing personality, funny, and sweet.
3.) I am likeable. Am I going to be the love of your life? Probability wise, it?s a slim chance. But, you will almost certainly find me witty, charming, cool and most importantly, capable of telling a few good stories that don?t involve celebrity gossip, personal drama or the promoter I know who works at that club. In other words, saying ?hi? isn?t going to be a completely miserable waste of your time.
Other than that, I could go into how mature, hard working, creative, funny, and reliable, but that?s just my opinion. Obviously I think I?m pretty great, but whether I am someone YOU can count on or who makes YOU laugh is really up to, well, YOU. I could also tell you about how much I love music and travel (how original!), or enjoy exploring new restaurants and watching movies (bet ya never heard that before!), or go on and on about my interests (running, the beach, blah blah blah), but I think those are the kind of things that are fun to get to know about a person. So, I guess we just have to embrace the adventure and see what we come up with!
