Hi and thanks for stopping by to read my profile. : ) I am updating my profile because I have discovered the need to be very specific on here as far as what I want and DON'T want.
First of all, I am a Christian (as my headline suggests) so if you are not a Christian, I respect your choice, however, I would not be interested in dating you and I wish you nothing but the best. Also, if you are looking to "hook up" with someone, just keep on looking. I'm old-fashioned and I have values as such, so I expect to be treated like a lady.
If you are still reading, even after all of my pre-qualifiers, then you just might have the patience to deal with me. lol...jk! ; )
I am looking to find the person that I'm going to spend the rest of my life with. I am not looking to rush into anything, but that is my ultimate goal after building a relationship built on trust, friendship, and shared experiences. I would love nothing more than to grow old with someone and be one of those cute, old couples that the young kids look at and say how cute we are because we still hold hands, open doors, etc. I guess you could say I'm somewhat of a hopeless Romantic.
I enjoy many types of hobbies and I feel that it is always better to do what you love with someone that you love, and that you can have a great time doing the most mundane things if it's with the right person. I like to travel (especially tropical places and on a cruise), go to the movies, try new and old favorite restaurants, cook, garden, go to plays and musical perfomances, go out dancing (especially to 80's dance music), watch movies at home, target shooting, play board games, and many more...I even like to play video games occasionally. lol
I expect whoever I'm with to be completely honest with me, as I would be honest with him. I'm not a perfect person by any means, but I can't forgive dishonesty, or deceit and I absoluately can't stand playing games. I'm looking for the real deal.
If you write me and I don't respond to you, please do not be offended. My kids keep me very busy so I just don't have time to respond to someone if I'm not interested in pursuing anything with them. Please don't take it personally. On the other hand, if I am dating someone, I definately make time to spend with them. I think spending time together is very important for any relationship. Oh, and I almost never respond to winks. I figure if someone if really interested, they can write a quick note..and if they're not that interested, why bother to respond?
I'm typically a "girly girl," however, I have been known to get my hands dirty gardening, and even landscaping from time to time.
One more thing...and if you're still reading now....you are definately a patient person! If you are still into the bar scene or drink regularly, I am not going to be interested. I'm into health and fitness, spiritual (Christian) growth, bible study, I go to church almost every week, and I'm looking for someone like-minded. I do enjoy going to bars and (mostly) clubs from time to time because I love to dance, but for the most part, I've moved past that. I promise that I'm actually very fun and laid back in person. I just wanted to be very specific on here to avoid wasting anyone's time.
