I don't like writing a bunch of sentences that start with "I," but oh well...
I love to have fun and laugh, and also love deep, serious conversations. Communication is very important to me. I enjoy subtle humour (yep, "humour" with a "u") and the company of intelligent people - especially those that realize how little they know (the more you know, the less you know, right?). Perhaps this can be best described as an old soul that is young at heart? My greatest irk is any form of pretentiousness. I definitely gravitate towards genuine, sincere people, and I think kindness is very much underrated. :) I really value consistency, reliability, and being a person of one's word, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant the promise (particularly in the small stuff). As they say, talk is cheap but money buys the whiskey.
I'm a committed Christian and hope to meet the same in a man (yes, this means I am waiting). I am also fairly tall and have a penchant for high heels, so I'd be particularly excited about finding someone tall. I've heard both friends and family describe the kind of guy I like as a "gentle giant." I'd say that is quite accurate.
I'm originally South African, then lived in Australia for 6.5 years, and just moved to NY 3.5 years ago for my career.
Oh, and I have an appreciation for good grammar and people who write in full sentences in texts.
Also, I'm not really into e-mailing back and forth a whole lot as I think meeting in person is the best way to get to know each other. :)
