Ladies first:
I am looking for a woman in her 20s who is sure of herself and lives a balanced life. I believe my match will be driven by a passion for doing something in life, as opposed to being driven by a passion for making money doing something in life. I am looking for a partner who likes to have fun and also enjoys an intelligent conversation.
My turn: I have always appreciated the standby: "Family are the friends God gives you, friends are the family you give yourself." I don't pretend to know who or what God is, but I do believe in some kind of higher power. I am honest about who I am and I expect the same in return. If or when I meet the right woman and decide to get married; my wife and my relationship with her will be my absolute first priority in life.
I play the guitar and I live for live music. Travel has played a big part in my life and probably always will. I have spent the last 6 years building dual careers in Film and in Yachting.
Laughter keeps the heart light and the mind at ease. I have come to think that typing jokes into an honest mission statement about me & who I am looking for is damn near impossible.
I'd like to meet someone who likes to enjoy life outside of the bar scene. After 5 years of bar tending in my early 20s, I love a good night out as much as anyone. I am just not interested in spending every weekend night in a bar. That doesn't mean you can't threaten me with a good time out and about once in a while.
Sustainable, responsible and ethical are my favorite words right now. I am applying those words to everything from food to politics to life style. Ironically, both film and yachting are horribly unsustainable, irresponsible and unethical. There are very few exceptions in both industries. I just injured my back last February and am in a process of reinventing how I make a living. I have no desire to be a physical laborer for the rest of my life. I am using this extra time recouping to create a sustainable, successful life. Politically I lean right of center depending on the subject. I don't agree with many of the political labels being applied these days.
I picked up Golfing a year ago and I love it. I sort of won my first tournament last march! (Spoiler alert, it wasn't a real tourney.) Some of my favorites: Live music, the great outdoors, I love wildlife and fresh air. "Shoot film, not each other." Rainy walks down an empty street, discovering a new watering hole; sunny sundays in the park; BBQ with friends; cooking; movies; summer time team sports; camping; my uncles classic car; road trip!; open ocean; I love dogs (you like dags?).
NYC and Savannah, GA are my favorite places to live. The more time I spend in Fort Lauderdale, the more I am enjoying it. I haven't spent much time in California, but I'd like to. Hopefully thats enough food for thought for now!
