I always smile when a Cab Driver says I'm too sweet to be a New Yorker...
While it's true, I think I tend to be a bit softer than others in this town (perhaps that's because I spent several years living in CT & VA), that's not to say I don't know how to make my way through a crowded subway, barter with a street vendor or feel a scam a mile away... I've got all that covered!
In addition to city living, I also enjoy being near the beach and mountains and take day, weekend and week long trips whenever I can. I just love VT and the Caribbean and go often. I've traveled to a few places in Europe and Asia, but look forward to many more far off excursions in the future.
I love being on the water and if given the opportunity, I'd sail around the world exploring the unknown. Until then, I enjoy jogging the Hudson and watching sailboats from my window ;)
I've worked hard to accomplish career goals and am loving where I've landed. I teach First Grade at a great school. Nothing better than mid-year breaks and summers off.
When I'm not working, I love laughing and spending time with friends and family, taking pictures, hosting parties, making a mess in my kitchen while I make homemade pasta, roaming the w. village for my favorite townhouse, taking advantage of city events, riding my bike on sunny days, ordering a bloody mary on a Sunday, searching for flea markets in VT... and best of all lounging around on lazy days.
So, if you don't mind an occasionally messy kitchen, weekend getaways, lounging by the sea, while leaving room for the unplanned adventure I look forward to hearing from you:)
