I'm back in Michigan after more than five years in a different state for work.
I'm really happy to be in Michigan because it's home and where I hope to stay. That doesn't mean I won't leave again temporarily; I love to travel! When I was gone, I had to use most of my vacation coming back here for weddings, nieces and nephews being born, and birthdays so hopefully I'll get to put my passport to good use soon. There are a lot of new places on my wish list... Australia, Spain, Galapagos Islands... and some places I'd like to see again. Family is just not the ideal company when you're in a city like Venice!
I suppose I consider myself medium-maintenance. If you're asking what that means, I'll use camping as an example. A lot of guys on here list camping as an interest. I'm happy to spend the day hiking or fishing, but at night, I want a hot shower and a real bed. If you want a girl to spend a week in the wilderness, we'll probably be better off as friends. But, if you want to go with your guys friends, that's okay too. I don't think a successful couple needs to share every single interest. Of course, you're welcome to join me to watch General Hospital :) Can't help it - it's a guilty pleasure.
The ideal guy will have his act together. That doesn't mean you have to be rich or have accomplished all your goals (that'd be boring, right?) but I'd like a guy with his head on straight. I'd love to find a guy who can hold an intelligent conversation and knows what's happening in the world, but being able to laugh at life's craziness goes a long way too.
If you have kids, I'm sure they're awesome, but I've had bad luck dating guys with kids so I'm not interested.
