I’ve been living in south Florida since the winter of 2006. I’m originally from Connecticut and although I’ve enjoyed living there, I no longer find the cold, damp and grayness that occurs from the end of October to the beginning of April appealing.
I’ve recently transitioned from the world of I.T. (as an embedded software engineer) to Healthcare (as an ER nurse). I find the change inspiring, challenging and at times somewhat daunting; however I have also found the experience far more rewarding and purposeful than I ever did as an engineer.
I’m attracted to masculine, confident, energetic top/versatile men. For some reason, men with Irish, German Arabic or African decent seem to easily catch my eye but my interest fades if there’s no substance beneath that genetic surface.
I believe in a functional family of choice, as opposed to a dysfunctional DNA obligation of co-dependence. Life is TOO SHORT to commit to or maintain inappropriate relationships.
As for social events, I’m not much of a club person these days .. but I do occasionally like to get sweaty on the dance floor if the energy is right along with the chemistry of my dance partner. I much prefer going to see a movie, cuddle in bed doing the same and pretty much enjoying my down time from work.
When it comes to relationships, I value honesty, integrity, respect, reciprocating and mutual communication. Communication is something I continue to work on and improve but in no way am I perfect.
I believe all good relationships start out with a friendly smile, a handshake and involve some form of food or drink over conversation that explores and expresses our experiences, aspirations and interests.
