First and foremost, I'm a hockey girl. :) But I follow other sports casually. I'm kind of shy (who isn't?) when I first meet people, but I warm up easily. I love to laugh, get out and enjoy life and I'm not afraid to get dirty. I like all types of music, except rap, and often find myself singing along with songs I know. I want to learn how to stand-up paddle. Rollercoasters are one of my favorite things for a quick thrill. I'm an avid reader. I'm kind of a klutz, but I laugh at myself when I do something stupid. I like to try anything once, and if I like it, then more than once.
I know what I want out of life, I have goals (some of them may be pipe dreams, but I'll still chase them). I consider myself a happy person, an optimist, with a touch of realism. :) I'm fairly laid-back, not easily offended, I have a serious side and I'm very independent. I'm overly honest to the point where it sometimes gets me in trouble. I'm a bit of a romantic and believe there is someone out there for everyone. I'm affectionate and tend to wear my heart on my sleeve. I don't believe in playing games and am very straight-forward. I don't create drama, don't seek it out, and I try to avoid it as much as I can. I prefer the truth to pretty little white lies, even if it hurts, and I will try to find the most tactful way to tell the truth. I know I'm not a perfect fit for everyone, but it's not my mission to be that for everyone. I'm just looking for the one that I am a perfect fit for. I'm not looking for a man to take care of me, but one that will be my partner.
What I'm looking for: someone I can have fun with, laugh with and look forward to spending my time with. I don't need to cling to you 24/7, but I do need to feel like I matter to you, that I rate high on your list of important people/things. I don't want to be an afterthought. A man that respects me, challenges me, and cares about me. I mean, this is all stuff that we all want, but for some strange reason it seems to be difficult to find. I would like someone who cares about their health and well being. Someone who has a realistic view of the world. And ultimately, I would like to find someone to be my best friend, and be willing to settle down and look forward to a family.
