For fun, I love to check out live music (big concerts and local bands), comedy shows, sporting events (Chiefs Season Ticket holder), tailgating, watching football (College and Pro), hosting dinner parties with friends at my house, grilling out with friends and or sitting around a fire pit, enjoying art events and wine tastings, hanging out on a lake or a beach, going on road trips, the list goes on and on. I am a very optimistic person and one that is generally happy all of the time. I am very comfortable in both one on one and group settings. I take pride in being able to have a conversation with just about anyone from all walks of life. I believe that life is all about balance. I am very confident, but not arrogant or egotistical. I am very spontaneous and out going. Always coming up with fun ideas of things to do. I take pride in being raised a Gentleman and am a man of my word. Yes I open car doors. I am a big kid at heart, but I also know when to be Mr. Responsible. I am very goal oriented. You will find me to be a very down to earth, honest, genuine, loving, and generous person.
I grew up in Central Missouri and after being away for 16 years, I have found my way to KC. I am excited about establishing roots here. I own my own home near the Legends. I would love to settle down with that special someone and enjoy everything that life has to offer together. In the mean time I am enjoying spending time with friends. I love to travel and in the last 12 months I have been to Phoenix, Los Angeles (Venice Beach/Santa Monica), Las Vegas, Destin, and Gulf Shores to name a few. I go to Chicago and Wisconsin multiple times a year. I love weekend getaways to new places. I miss living near the Gulf and going to Gulf Shores every weekend so I am always game for a quick weekend getaway to the beach.
I recently started hitting the gym in an effort to better myself on the outside. The "house is in order" on the inside. No baggage, emotional, or trust issues to deal with. So now I am working on the "curb appeal". I am a huge romantic and am very affectionate. I love hugs, kisses, cuddling, and holding hands. Don't get me wrong, my Man Card is firmly in place. I have just learned the importance of appreciating those things too and I would like to find someone that enjoys and appreciates these things as well.
I would like to find someone that has an outgoing personality, that is happy in life, and believes in building up those around her versus tearing them down. Someone that understands that a relationship involves compromise as opposed to it being only their way. I am looking for someone that is emotionally ready to be in a committed relationship and also understands that the cornerstone of a positive relationship is a sound friendship. Someone that knows how to drink in moderation and has outgrown the need to stay out all night drunk every weekend. Someone that likes to go out and cut loose, but also enjoys quality time at home too. Someone that can be just as comfortable in her little black dress, as she is in jeans.
I fully understand that it takes time for feelings to develop and I am willing to invest the time necessary for a long term relationship to build. At the same time, I have no interest in playing games, dating multiple people, one night stands, etc. Honesty is absolutely critical. Just looking for that one person that in time will become my best friend, my confidant, my lover, and my partner in crime. :-)
