I am originally from the great state of Oklahoma, but have lived in Colorado for 11 years and couldn't be happier here. Its so beautiful! I am blessed to live close to some great hiking spots, so I try to go at least once a day, if its warm enough.
I got my bachelors degree in English from the University of Colorado and ended up in the finance industry - makes sense, right? :) I love what I do, but always try to remember to play harder than I work. Life is too short and there are too many adventures waiting to get too wrapped up in things that don't truly matter.
I love spending time with my family - they are so amazing and have always been there for me. I have four younger brothers who are my heroes. I wouldn't be who I am without them.
I love to laugh and have a good time -- its rare that i'm not smiling and happy. Life is good. I'm a girly girl at times, but if you get me up in the mountains with a gun and an ATV, I'll have just as much fun doing that as I would shopping for shoes. :)
I think everything happens for a reason. I love fairy tales. I try to watch one scary movie a year, but I usually spend more than half of it buried in a blanket. I have a slight obsession with Robert Downey Jr....who doesn't, really. I tell the WORST jokes...people usually laugh more at me trying to tell them than at the actual joke itself, but as long as I can make someone smile, its worth it.
I believe you get what you give - I give as much time as I can to volunteering in the community. Most recently, I have signed on to help plan this years Heart Ball with the American Heart Association. So excited to get started on that project!
I love music. All kinds. Especially country. Music is good for the soul.
What I look for in someone else? As Shakespeare so eloquently put it, "expectation is the root of all heartache." I think we meet the people we are supposed to when we are supposed to. So, I try not to have expectations - its just something else to get in the way.
