I'm finishing up the last leg of my Bachelor's degree in Health Care Management at Eastern Kentucky U, from then I plan on commissioning as an officer in the Army (if things go according to plan), and continuing my studies to graduate school. I grew up close to Fort Bragg, NC (army brat but folks live in Ohio) so I'm close to all things military. Right now I live in Kentucky, this place reminds me of Santa's workshop, only it smells like mushrooms and everyone looks like they wanna hurt me. I'm a single mother, I have one son and he is my whole life - its cliche but it's true. I'm loyal and stubborn - I don't back down (I won a lot of radio contests because I refused to get off the line!) I also quote movies probably way too frequently.
I have a hot Irish temper and a short fuse, but I'm quick to apologize (and forgive). My loyalty is my honor. I'm not a superficial person but I do work out to be healthy and as fit as I can be and I do like to shop and dress up when an occasion arises, so I'm not the type of woman who lets herself go, I also know I am far from "perfection". But I do have plenty of days when I sleep past my alarm and just roll out of bed in sweats and my hair on top of my head, and I just go to class.
I believe in God. But thats between me and Him, not anyone else so I don't go around talking about it and trying to get people to join my club. I try my best to treat others well and to have integrity and do the right things.
I do watch sports when I occasionally get to: college and pro football, baseball and soccer, and hockey! (Ohio State football, Chicago Bears, Cubs, Team Germany, Blackhawks and Minnesota hockey). I sleep in an OSU football jersey. My son is learning to ice skate so he can play peewee hockey, it is so exciting. I love watching sports at a cookout or a pub.
I love snow and the holiday seasons - I enjoy the cold weather more. I enjoy reading history and doing research. I think your history is one of the most important pieces of who you are, and knowing where you come from is something of which you should be proud.
My little boy is in grade school, I'm raising him on my own; he loves baseball and superheroes, and would probably eat cereal for every meal if I let him.
I'm not going to beat around the bush here - I'm 27 years old and not getting any younger. I don't plan on dating forever. I am looking to get married and have a family someday - just waiting for the right man. I have to say I do not hook up nor do I want a fling with someone or to "have fun" because that is just crap. It's just not fair to play games with peoples emotions, especially if a child is involved. So.. grown ups only please. I don't want to end up the "cat-lady", ya know, living alone with like 12 cats when I'm 40. I am a total romantic in that I still believe in true love and loyalty. I WILL NOT STAY IN KENUTCKY so I cannot be with someone who is expecting to stay and if you do NOT want children, then I am definitely not your girl - obviously I have a child, and would like more in the future.
