I am a native Californian that has lived in almost every part of California. From the way north in Humboldt County (yes that is still California) to my current residence here, in the Los Angeles area. I have lived most of my life in the country, and I have to say that I really miss living in the wide open spaces. More specifically, Sonoma County and San Luis Obispo, but I am getting used to life in the big city. Just every now and then I need to see rolling hills and massive amounts of trees.
I am an only child (I know what you’re thinking – spoiled), so yes, maybe, I was spoiled. Luckily though, my long time best friend, has a huge family, so it gave me a good perspective of what it’s like to have siblings. Essentially, I got the best of both worlds.
My education, and my current job, is in aerospace engineering. That means I can be a bit nerdy at times. I do enjoy math, physics, and engineering, but I am not limited to such boringly perceived subjects. In college, I took classes in art history, anthropology, nutrition, modern dance, and literature to get a break from all the engineering courses. These outlets have persisted since college, and I have added a few more.
My main sources of joy and stress relief now come from cooking, photography, and physical activity. Cooking is an easy way for me to wind-down from work – especially when it’s accompanied by a glass of wine or a beer. Photography is something fun I can do anywhere, and yoga, running, and rock climbing keep me happy and in-shape.
In all honesty, I am a sensitive and caring guy. Not like I’m going to write you poetry or a song and then proceed to cry, but I am quite passionate.
My perfect match would have to be someone that can share in some of my favorite activities. Either travel, art, exercise, cooking - pretty much someone to spend my non work hours with, doing things we both really enjoy. Athleticism (looking for someone to sweat with, haha), a love for travel, and putting up with my healthy (as well as delicious) cooking are musts.
I'm looking for someone intelligent that can put up with my nerdy side. Someone that can make fun of crappy movies with me. Someone that is open and easy to talk to. Someone that is trust worthy.
I like strong women that are not afraid to share their opinions or how they feel. I want to be with someone that is going to push me out of my comfort zone every once in a while, and teach me new things. I want to be able to share in someone’s passions and life, but still retain my own and vice versa.
