Originally from southern california, I moved up to the bay area for school and stayed for my rewarding and fun career. People often comment on my positive attitude, so I guess I'm an optimist! I try to see the positive in people and almost all situations. I'm adventurous and like to explore new places, travel, and much more. My friends know that I'm clumsy, sarcastic, easily distracted, directionally and vertically challenged, loyal, honest, fun-loving, and pretty easy going, but I can have a serious side also.
A good number of my weekends are spent hiking, browsing farmer's markets, hanging out/going out with friends, trying to finish the multiple books that I'm reading all at once, and having a good time in general. I love food, wine, and trying new restaurants, from hole in the wall to four star, I don't discriminate as long as the food and company are good. Top chef and the cooking channel are in my favorite TV shows--Jamie Oliver and Giada de Laurentiis are two of my inspirations. I also enjoy a nice night in with a healthy, made from scratch meal (I'm an amateur cook and always love to try new recipes) with some wine (preferably in front of a cozy fire on a cold night) and a good movie. I would love to become a better skier (Tahoe is a favorite spot!), and I'm always up for a new adventure. I'm pretty lucky in that there are some pretty amazing people in my life (friends and family), who have all had a positive influence on me in some way. I've been able to travel a good amount, although there are still a ton of places (mostly outside the U.S.) that I'm still dying to visit and learn about.
My ideal match/date is someone who isn't afraid to make the first move, is looking to potentially build a meaningful relationship, doesn't take himself too seriously (but can be serious when needed), has solid values, and is a good and fun friend. Someone who's intelligent, knows what he wants out of life, and possibly has some unique quirks to make me laugh would be a plus. If you're looking to get to know someone warm, sweet, and sort of silly, shoot me an email!
