So I packed up and moved out here to the left coast about 4 weeks ago from Austin, TX. Why? Eh, I'd lived in Austin for 15 years and just wanted to try something different. I think it's important to step outside your comfort zone once in a while to challenge yourself and try new things.
One problem...I can count the people I know out here on one hand. So, I'm trying this site based on a friend's recomendation to meet new people.
About me: I'm big on being social: happy hour with friends, watching sports, nightlife on the weekends, or just having people over for drinks. Going to the beach and the movies are also favorite past times. I went to The University of Texas, so I'm a huge Longhorn Football fan. Also, I'm really into comedy and am trying to break into the stand up/improv scene in LA: currently taking an improv class at The Second City for fun. But, to pay the bills I just started a new job as an Account Executive doing sales in Santa Monica. Working hard is important to me but work/life balance is key.
About you: Sense of humor is pretty essential for me because I'm always cracking jokes or acting goofy. So, if you're slightly sarcastic and don't take yourself too seriously, it could be a good fit. Being social is also important, so if you like going out, partying with friends and trying new things, that's a plus. I also like playing sports and outdoor stuff so hopefully you share those interests. Maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle is important to me.
