I'm currently at the point in my life where my friends are dropping like flies! No, they are healthy. I just mean that they're married... haha. After turning the ripe ole age of 27, I find that bars are no longer the place to be on Friday nights (shocking, I know...) and I also have discovered that I enjoy waking up on Saturday mornings without a raging headache (who knew??). I recently moved out of Baltimore into a nearby suburb. It's amazing how rested I am when the light rail isn't clanging outside my window at 5am! I do miss city life though, and in fact, I've been venturing into Baltimore and DC in my free time to do the exploring that I couldn't afford to do as a grad student. At this point, you should be saying "Dummy, the Smithsonian is free!" Ok ok. ...Also, thanks to GPS, I have unleashed my fondness for backroads. It's about the journey and not the destination, right? Well, sorta. I also love traveling and would like to find someone to trek across Europe with me. I LOVE the beach, but I'm not a fan of Ocean City. I grew up in Massachusetts so it's hard to adjust to summers away from Cape Cod. Instead, I've discovered tubing which I'd love to do more often. I try to go to the gym as often as possible, but I won't lie and say I enjoy it. I value my friend's opinions and love hanging out in large groups. I currently play kickball in a league once a week, and I can honestly say my team is terrible. On rainy days, movies or a good book will work just fine for me. My goal for this year is to find a cooking class. I've only got the basics down right now, and sadly, my meals heavily rely on the microwave and the George Foreman. I have a fantastic job as a pharmacist where *most* of my patients love me. When I'm not standing for 14 hours per day or counting by 5s, I'm convincing myself to head to the gym where I act like I know how to use the weight machines....Gym partners welcome! As a UMCP alum, I'm a Terps Basketball fan (Miss you, Gary). I'm originally from Boston, so even though I'm not a huge football/baseball fan, I will ruthlessly cheer for both the Patriots and Red Sox whenever they are playing. This does not make me popular in Baltimore... While you can typically find me hanging out in Fed Hill on a weekend night, nights on the couch wearing sweats are pretty fantastic, no?? I love the fall and wish that I lived closer to the beach. I love spending time outdoors but I will scream like a girl when I see a spider. I love to try new things as well. I would love to travel more (preferably outside of the US). I'm impressed that everyone on here has essentially lived in Prague and volunteered in Malawi, but I'd enjoy just sightseeing at the major hot spots all over the world. When I do go on vacations, I try to find activities that do not include simply lying on the beach -- ziplining, snorkeling, caving. Why am I on Match? I'd like to meet new people who are down for some good conversation and some good times, and we can see what happens. I would like to meet someone who can be described as intelligent (street-smart or book-smart), self-confident, and funny as hell. But really, I'd just settle for my best friend.
