My family would describe me as corny, my friends as funny, and still yet my students think I am "life". I tend to be a friendly, outgoing person; and I am looking for someone who has a good sense of humor and enjoys great conversation. I have to admit that I have a sardonic sense of humor. I love the beach; and reading, I suppose because of my profession, is my favorite thing to do. Faith and education are important. You are given the choice for both, you might as well chose wisely.
Looks aren't as important as what is inside a person's heart. I try to lead by example in my home as well as my classroom. I like to believe that I have adopted, Atticus Finches' philosophy, "How can I hold up my head and walk down the street, if I don't believe what I teach my children?" I have two fabulous kids who are my top priority. I love spending time with them as they play their various sports: Baseball, Softball, and Basketball.
I am all about honesty; sometimes to a fault and that has been known to get me into some trouble. With that being said, I haven't been on a date with a man, other than my husband, in 26 years! This is very scary for me.
I don't think it is what you want to do with your life as much as it is what you have done. I have tried to live a good life, with as much laughter as I can muster. If you can't laugh at yourself, what can you laugh at. I facilitate two similar self help groups that try to help people find the laughter again. It isn't easy when life has dealt you a bad hand. (sorry for the cliche)
I am a high school English teacher and have been teaching for 20 years. I love it. Not one day is like the other. I am a helper by nature. If you need something and it is in my power, I will find a way to get it to you. If not, you are on your own!
