i am a chameleon.
I feel most alive when i am in a new place surrounded by new ideas, challenging my own existence and forcing me to go beyond what i thought were limitations. Music is my heartbeat, complimented by poetry, history, art, culture int'l affairs/politics. I am down to get lost solo in the mountains one day and be engulfed by musical genius at a festival the next.
I am terrified of living the same day twice and am all over the spectrum when it comes to likes. Hard to find partners in crime when that's the case ;)
San Francisco is my hometown, i bleed orangeblack, and am just moving back from living in Miami for almost 8 years. I work as a freelance journalist, mainly music journalism but also write about art (graffiti art, contemp, murals, etc) and cocktail culture. Strangely, i can't hold my liquor. ha
i'm hilarious, a great listener, patient, but am latina....so, yeah. think what you will. :p I have a strong work ethic although am taking a bit of time right now to make sure the next endeavor is the right one. The last "jobby job" i had was directing investor relations & corp communications for a PE commercial Real Estate firm. I was responsible for appx 750m in direct investment. I called TIME OUT on that life pretty quickly when I saw the timing was right. Working all day then covering music & street culture all night, something had to give....life is a trip.
You need to have a sense of humor, roll with the punches, inspire me, be spontaneous, love something - anything - but be passionate about said thing.
My friends call me a rolling stone, 21stC gypsy as I love to get up and go. Always tough to build a relationship when that is the case so I'm slightly out of practice. Am happy to plant my feet back in the Bay once again, there is no place like it, but I will always, ALWAYS have to stay in motion, looking forward to the next journey to distant lands, how others live, their street culture, skate and graff culture, music, commerce, crafts etc. etc. Other favorite cities include London, Paris, NYC and Buenos Aires. I lived in the last two for a bit, good times. i do tend to go to FL every once in a while as I own property in Miami. Wish i could say the same about SF! working on it.
i went to elementary school in SF then moved to Marin. If you're from the bay and you knock Marin for whatever reason, keep it movin'. thanks. West marin?? that place is amaze. hiking trails by seacliffs as the sun sets over the pacific....?? mountain biking, surfing, rock climbing, skateboarding, writers, photographers, sculptors, musicians, poets, all that. what's not to love. Santana, Booker T, and Ray Manzarek all can't be wrong. Anyway, haha, clearly i feel strongly about that place.
Oh, I have kind of a cute gap in my teeth. My friends love it. I hate it. There it is.
