Bienvenue, as the French say! I know you've probably seen enough profiles to make your eyes water at this point, so I'll get right to the point: I'm a nerdy adventure-seeker. If that's not for you, kindly click on a link to proceed to the next. For those still interested, good! Let's continue!
For starters, I'm an LA native, but have been told I take on a more Midwestern personality due to my family. I've worked hard to get into the career I've wanted since five years old, which is as a programmer making video games. See, I told you I was nerdy!
I'm a totally passionate fan of NBA basketball, and have been since childhood. If I ever had a second choice of a career, it would be working for a pro basketball team. One of my favorite things to do is go to Clippers games, order nachos with two scoops of cheese for sharing, and cheer on my team until they (hopefully) win. The sound that permeates through the arena when someone throws down a monster dunk is incredible, there's nothing like it.
I used to play basketball a lot as a kid and young adult, though not as much anymore, as it takes a little longer for these old bones to heal from injury. :) So, I've switched to other methods to keep in shape. Hiking keeps me mobile, yoga keeps me limber, and weights keep me strong. It's the holy trinity for a guy like me. I may eventually get on to the endurance running fad, but to be honest, the idea of gasping for air and water while sweat drips into my eyes is not an appealing thought.
Let's see, what else? I am a rock music fan like no other. You want a fun music factoid about, well, Fun.? I'm your man. Concerts and karaoke are big events on my itinerary, and I try to go at least once a month to either one of these. I appreciate a woman who knows how to let loose when her favorite songs are in the air. I may even join in if it's not some nasty, negative Taylor Swift jingle.
I'll just throw in there what everyone else does in that I like to travel. Because, who doesn't, right? I plan a big trip every year which has included Mexican cruises, and just last year I went to France and Spain on a little backpacking excursion. This year the plan is to tour around Eastern Europe and take in the sights, sounds, and smells there.
So, that's a taste of my life. Of course, that's just the tip of a very large and expanding iceberg.
