Have you ever night-kayaked in Malibu? Or spontaneously taken a penny-walk -- heads go right, tails go left -- through Santa Monica? How about stargazed under a blanket on the lawns of the Griffith Observatory with an opportunity to actually see the rings of Saturn? Ordered drinks at a downtown rooftop bar admiring the illuminated city skyline while laying on your back on a bed of water? Catered to your sudden urge to be a kid again and played laser tag or raced go-karts in the Valley? Or explored the vivacious tide pools of Palos Verdes? Relaxed with your favorite glass of wine to the sounds of an emerging artist at a Hollywood lounge? Or indulged your creative side with a song of your own at karaoke with 200 of your closest friends? Gone horseback riding in the rain through the backyards of Burbank’s Mt. Sinai park to a hidden Mexican cantina just to warm up by the fire? Or woken up early one morning to catch the sunrise over a cafe au lait at your favorite French bistro in Studio City?
Of course there’s always the traditional ding dong 'n ditch 'em, TP-ing, fire drills, cow-tipping (livestock permitting) and rearranging your neighbor’s Christmas lights (seasonal), all of which can be really fun, but I prefer originality.
Why am I giving away these rich ideas? Because I’ve already done them all and because there’s a million more new and exciting adventures in LA just begging to be had!
