Do you believe in Luck?
I recently read a quote: "Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity." It really got me thinking. Am I prepared for the opportunity of a new relationship? We all have the so-called “baggage” that is a part of who we are, but I prefer to call it history. Baggage is something that weighs you down if you let it. History in my opinion is something that can be used to reflect on the bad and take from the good. I am ready and prepared for a new opportunity in my life; to share what life has to offer.
This is my first time on a dating service. I have not dated in over a year and it’s been a rewarding experience. It was really good to take some time for myself. I’m very happy and secure with who I am and where I am at this point of my life. I did realize one thing and that is although I enjoy my independence I miss sharing and making memories with someone special. Due to my daily routines I don’t get out much and I am not looking for one-night stands or to pick someone up in a bar so Match.com seemed like the right choice.
So what’s the plan? I am looking to compliment a special someone’s life and expecting the same in return. Life is too short to sweat the small stuff. I am honest, loyal, funny and affectionate and looking for the same. To often essential emotional and physical needs are taken for granted or just over looked in a relationship. I want my partner to feel like she is number one and I the same. Just because you or I have children that does not mean there can’t be two number 1s in your life; everyone has their place.
What brings joy in my life is my daughter and humor. There is a time and place for everything but you have to be able to laugh at yourself every now and then. Chemistry is everything! Kidding around and being goofy is a major ingredient that helps keep me young both mind and body. Not to mention my 10 year old daughter who keeps me on my toes and motivates me to be the best that I can be. She is a gymnast that trains 12 hours a week so I am running back and forth to the gym quite a bit. We both enjoy being active.
I keep my self busy and young training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and wrestling 3 to 4 nights a week. I also enjoy the outdoors and the laid back pace of the West, which was a major factor in moving to Arizona from Chicago 14 years ago. It had all the quad riding, hiking, and biking I ever wanted. Not to mention I am an old car and VW enthusiast.
I enjoy quiet nights watching TV or a movie, going to the movies, concerts, comedy clubs or what ever else we could come up with. I’m willing to try anything once. I come off shy but really am far from it once you get to know me. I mentioned chemistry earlier, I enjoy someone that can keep me on my toes; some days I like to drive others days I like to be a passenger so to speak.
So here we are… lets see where this adventure takes us!
