I have been described as smart, perceptive, articulate and direct. I am happiest when engrossed in engaging conversations with witty people, If I close my eyes and think about my ideal evening, it would be sharing thoughts and wine with a small group of friends (new or old), discovering things about ourselves and each other that we wouldn't have otherwise known. I am more interested in knowing a few people really, really well than than knowing a lot of people on a surface level.
I am curious by nature, I love to read about current events and to learn about different people, places and things. I'm not satisfied until I know how something works, and if it can be improved I'm likely to offer an alternative solution. Don't ever try to tell me to just accept things the way they are, because I simply won't abide by that. While not a risk taker, I am very experiential, tactile, and passionate. I am always open to new ideas and believe that (most) anything should be given a try at least once.
Animals are my passion and I feel a great deal of gratification when I am helping those in need. I am an active advocate for our environment and all the living creatures that share it. I am interested in helping to promote positive change on both a grassroots level and through influencing legislative changes.
I believe that if you don't like the way something is done than you should do something about it. I am intolerant of people who complain about things but do nothing to make changes. I cannot stand complainers, talkers or braggerts. I adore doers, facilitators, people who actually make it happen.
I am not a huge sports fan. TOSU is an important element in our community here, I get that. It's just that there are just sp many things I'd rather do than go tailgating. That said, a tailgate every once in a while can be fun.
I am a vegan, but I do not expect others to be nor do I judge or impose my views on non-vegans. That said, if your favorite pasttime is cooking a steak on the grill than I am probably not for you. Especially if you want to grill that steak on a grill while on the back of your Harley while watching the Buckeyes.
I have three kids (8,10,12) and I love being with them, though I have to admit I love having my time to myself too, which I get every other week when they're with their dad. So, I now have half of my time all to myself! I'd like that time to be enjoyed with another person having a great time on many different levels: physical, social, intellectual and emotional.
I'm looking for someone who is crazy smart, articulate and has an understanding of and an interest in current events, politics and what is happening in places beyond the borders of CMH.
