So I guess I would describe myself as genuine, classy yet down to earth, ambitious, outgoing, passionate, driven, a little bit of a nerd with a somewhat sarcastic sense of humor, and definitely a lady (but that never stopped me from playing in the mud). :-) I work hard but definitely know how to have a good time. I'd like to have someone to hang out with, laugh, talk, have fun, and go from there!
I'm looking for someone who is intelligent with a good sense of humor, who's witty and humble, driven and ambitious. I don't want someone who is stuck on themselves or shallow. I don't ask more from someone than I am willing and able to give myself.
I'm originally from California, but have spent a great deal of time here in North Carolina being that I was in the Marine Corps for almost 10yrs and stationed here several times, but I'm still pretty much a city girl at heart. I've been out of the military for over 6 years now and work for a local Research and Development company as a Contract Manager overseeing our contracts with the DoD and other Federal agencies, it's actually very exciting work and I love it! I do miss San Diego from time to time, but there is plenty to do here in the Chapel Hill/Raleigh area, so I can't complain too much.
One of my all time favorite books is "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" by Dr. Seuss -- If you've ever read it, you'll understand why. Yes, I realize it's a children's book, but its message is universal. Go out and get what you want in life, go after it. And do not be deterred by the obstacles you may encounter, great things await you. :-)
And yes, I have a picture of my feet posted. You can tell a lot by someone's feet. ;-)
