I graduated with my MBA from NYU Stern 3 years ago with a mountain of debt in the worst job market for Finance grads in at least the last 75 years. After graduation, I ended probably the most intense relationship I've ever had and was still recovering physically from a torn achilles which occurred only months prior. It's fair to say, I had a lot to work on these past three years and a relationship was not at the top of the list.
Since then I have not only survived, but thrived at a prestigious investment firm. I will have paid more than half of my student debt by the end of this year. Finally, I am close to the best shape I've been in since college (and will soon surpass that). As the title character Candide states (in Voltaire's simply written, but profound novella): "we must cultivate our garden"...
