"Oh no, not another Match 'Wink'!", you may be thinking. "If he's really interested, he'd at least write me a sentence or two."
Please let me explain. If I receive one positive response in 50 messages, and spend just 7 minutes reading a profile and writing a message, then I've spend 50x7 = 350 minutes (5.8 hours) just to get one non-negative reply, which usually goes no where, relationship-wise.
So, to be practical, I'm starting with 'winks', just to see if there may be some interest. If I get a wink back, I'll write a message.
To start, I am loyal, intelligent, reliable, caring, a bit shy around women I find attractive, and a good listener.
I have diverse interests and am looking for someone to enjoy them with: I like simple activities (such as movies, working out, swimming, and reading) and interests (history, science); and, I also like to get out (for example, dining out, hiking, bicycle riding, and exploring).
Also, I like to travel. I've traveled across the U.S. several times, and have visited (or driven through) nearly every state in the contiguous U.S. Originally from California, I've had the opportunity to live in several states: CA, NY, MN, MI, PA, CO. I've had the chance to visit Canada, Germany, and Australia, and worked in Japan for two years. Spending time other countries gave me new perspectives and insights into many things, and reminded me just how good life is in the U.S.
By education and training, I'm a scientist/researcher, but moved back to L.A. to help with family matters.
As for my match, I'm seeking someone who shares overlapping interests (vide supra), values, and compatible traits with me (e.g., I wouldn't mesh with someone who is too radical, Left or Right). Ideally, she would be smart, sweet, and sexy. Statuesque women are especially attractive to me. Since I enjoy listening to and discussing many topics, she would be also be expressive and communicative.
