I've lived in the bay area for a little over ten years, having grown up in a small ski town, and San Francisco definitely feels like home! I love this city's close access to so many awesome outdoor spots, its creativity and open minded vibe. Where else can you experience things like the Hunky Jesus contest on Easter Sunday?? :) After graduating from college, I worked for a few years in non profit and education, spent some time volunteering in West Africa, and now am merging those experiences into a a career in sustainable development. Right now, like most in the bay area, I have a cushy tech job and am soaking in all of those free lunches before becoming a student again very soon at Berkeley to study development practice. Fun fact: I was a kindergarten teacher for several years before realizing teaching wasn't my path - but I still love the little ones and take babysitting gigs every once in a while to stay connected to them. There is nothing like a six year old's sense of humor and sense of wonder at the world.
At a relationship level, I have a simply fantastic community of friends in San Francisco, and a wonderful family back home in Utah that I adore and cherish - they are all an integral and awesome part of my life. I work hard and enjoy a good intellectual challenge, and decompress as intentionally by hanging out with friends, getting out into nature, shredding it up in Tahoe, finding an exciting new place to travel (Iceland is next on the list - did you know some Icelanders believe in elves? Seriously.), taking a yoga class (I'm a certified instructor and teach occasional workshops when I have the time), or building some wonky Burning Man art with my camp of 7 years now. I *love* dancing, have several friends who DJ and often find myself at some underground spot for their gigs. I feel as at home making a camp fire out in the redwoods as I do galavanting around the city, and would enjoy meeting someone I could have some adventures with. I'm very active physically, and make a conscious effort for living a healthy lifestyle. My life is eclectic, and full of passionate, hilarious people - I'm happy and busy, and if we're a good fit, you likely are too!
I'm attracted to men who are self aware, sensitive to other's needs, have a great sense of humor and a light hearted approach to life, actively show interest in the world's affairs, appreciate nature and have a good social scene going, and are drawn to having new and interesting, fun experiences. You're smart and compassionate but you don't take yourself so seriously. Drop by to say hello!
