I am a very easy-going yet motivated guy. Growing up under redwood trees must have had a very positive and relaxing effect on my brain as a child. I don’t get worked up about too many things in this world but I do care deeply about those that are most important: family, friends, wine, music and travel. As a wise man from the hills of Alabama once told me years ago in Paris: “I don’t know nuthin’ bout no religion or politics”. He did of course; but didn’t want to offend newly found friends from very different walks of life. I try to incorporate his sage advice into my daily interactions. I usually drop the drawl though.
I’ve been very focused on education and career much of my life. Ok, you got me… there has been plenty of time spent on fun and worldly adventures. Still, I have yet to find my best friend and partner. I am at the point in my life where I have a clear vision of what I am looking for in my companion: someone to share outrageous adventures and lazy mornings with, someone to engage in long conversations or take on silent walks and someone who will laud my successes and kindly point out where I need to grow.
For fun I love to catch live music, travel, scuba dive, snowboard and drink and eat with friends and family. My family is large, fun and loud and I spend a good amount of time with them. I try to expand my horizons as much as possible with a few international excursions each year. My recent adventures have included Papua New Guinea, Cuba, Belize and Australia. I have yet to visit SE Asia so that is my next stop :-) I usually spend most of my time underwater on these trips but when I am on the surface, I love relaxing, meeting new people and just soaking up a different culture. I would love to find a partner who is equally enthusiastic about disappearing for weeks to get lost in the amazing world around us.
