I am the youngest of five children. Coming from a big family has taught me to be flexible and how to get along with just about anyone. I am the only sibling that has left the nest. I miss them so I try to go home at least twice a year.
With no family in the area, I have a strong circle of friends that keep me grounded and honest. We treat each other like family and I am grateful for their time in my life.
When I moved here, nine years ago, I was only supposed to stay for a year but after the first winter/spring ended life opened up and this City is just too lively/interesting/challenging to leave. The real truth is I stay here because of my fascinating job in the water and sewer industry.You would be amazed at all there is to know about storm water, pipes and land development. I am being sarcastic. Sewer pipes are the forgotten step child of the underground world for good reason. Nevertheless, I find what I do pretty darn interesting.
I have played golf for almost 15 years yet I continue to shoot well over one hundred. My dad tells me I have an athletic swing and if I would just play more frequently I would be more consistent. My goal is to finally play well enough to bother to keep score.
I am a doer. If something is broke - I fix it. If I made a mistake - I say I am sorry and try to make things right. If I say I am going to do something - I do it. I get that from my parents that taught me to respect the people and things around me.
