I was born and raised in Ohio, then moved to Hawai'i for 9 years (BA from the University of Hawai'i) where I fell in love with the food, music, people and culture of the islands. Went back to school in San Francisco, getting my second degree (BSN), and moved to Los Angeles 10 years ago. Never thought I'd stay, but I find the energy, culture, arts, beauty (and beautifully ugly) aspects of the city to be awe-inspiring.
Looking to develop a romantic relationship where we can have a good conversation, laugh (I've got a witty, sometimes dry, usually sarcastic sense of humor), try new activities, restaurants and places. Or catch a show at the Wiltern or the Hollywood Bowl. Or go to Yamashiro's Farmers Market. Or do the DTLA Artwalk. Or a cinespia movie. Or hike. Or bike. Or drive. Or whatever spontaneously hits us at the moment! (you get the picture) If it leads to romance, all the better!

I bike (would like to get back into road racing), hike, enjoy photography--taking photos and admiring the work of "real" photographers. (Margaret Bourke White, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Julius Shulman, Joel Sternfeld, William Christenberry, Robert Frank, Walker Evans, Jeff Brouws, Dennis Hopper, Henry Wessel, William Eggleston, Lee Friedlander, Martin Parr, Ed Ruscha, Stephen Shore, Garry Winogrand etc.). Enjoy spending time with friends, traveling, trying anything new and exciting. Love discovering new music. Lust for mid-century modern design and architecture, and have a quirky interest in vintage roadside Americana and urban decay. ("What are you taking a picture of?" That beautiful 1950s neon sign!) I'm a map geek, and carefully plan road trips where my car never turns onto an interstate. Oh, and a weather geek too...I will drive out of my way just to experience a thunderstorm.
