About me
I love living near the beach. It is great to be able to walk to nice beaches and restaurants. I love to SCUBA dive, fish and boat. I like to get up early in the morning and run to the beach with my lab.
Seems like everyone on this site loves to travel? I want to be home and sleep in my own bed. I travel quite a bit for business but usually am in Ft Lauderdale for the weekend.
I am looking for peace and tranquility and just looking to enjoy life, have fun and laugh a little. A quirky sense of humor is a plus. I like someone who doesn't mind getting dressed up for a date, opens my door and looks forward to spending time with me :) I am not too big into texting, would prefer in person communication :) I don't care if I ever get remarried, but I am looking for a long term relationship and not "friends with benefits."
1. I am very peaceful, I don't yell at anyone and don't like anyone to yell at me.
2.I like to sleep, a lot! I need 8 hours sleep at night, I prefer 10 hours.
3.I rarely wake up to an alarm clock.
4.A goal in life is to sleep in the same bed 60 consecutive days. It has been my goal for about 10 years, and someday I will achieve it. I travel too much for my job.
5.I have the best son in the world, I am so proud of him. He is engaged to a wonderful lady.
6.My Dad is my hero. He is the most honest, ethical man I know. I
7.I love dogs! I have a wonderful black lab who I just adore.
8.I will never use Botox, I intend to grow old gracefully. And if not gracefully, then I intend to simply grow old.
9.I love my family . .. no real drama, but a quirky bunch.
10.My brother and I are more similar than we are different. It is scary sometimes. I just made better choices; I still don’t understand why someone so smart would go to Duke.
11.Someday, I will grow a vegetable garden. Probably when I can sleep in the same bed 60 consecutive days.
12.I love to see men shocked when they see me put my boat in the slip the first attempt. Women are never shocked; they expect that I can do it!
13. I plan on retiring in 5 years.
14.A perfect day includes lying at the bottom of the ocean.
15.I don’t like cold anything. Cold weather, cold water, I simply don’t like them. I believe, to see snow, one should have to board a plane.
16.I am pretty independent.
17.I like to own really fast cars, but I drive them slowly.
18.I am really proud of my former foster child. He has overcome so much adversity in his life. Yet, he has a beautiful smile.
19.I love Cheetos.
20.When I retire, I am not going anywhere I can’t drive. Unless it involves very warm water, BC and regulator.
21.My friend gave me a coffee mug for Christmas, it said “you never really know how many friends you have. . . until you get a house at the beach.” How true.
22.I love wine, red wine!
23.I can’t wait to have grandchildren. Well, I can wait . .but don’t want to wait too long.
24.I love to play golf. I am terrible but I love it just the same. I can’t stand to play with people who get mad and throw clubs. A bad day at a golf course beats just about anything.
