Currently I am a very busy girl. My days are spent commuting, teaching the keiki, getting in a workout, more commuting, and cooking a fresh meal. On the weekends I get together with friends and am up for whatever sounds exciting whether it is snorkeling to the Moks, hiking Olomana, or just chilling at the beach.
A little more about me…I am originally from the Boston area, go Sox! I moved to Hawaii almost 7 years ago after a really bad winter and haven’t checked a weather report since. I love this island and the fact that after 7 years there is still more to explore and learn.
I started running when I moved to Hawaii and have since completed 5 marathons. Last year I broke up with running but a kamaaina promotion to run the 2012 Honolulu Marathon for $26.20 has convinced me to try to make up with it, so far things are going well.
I am a huge history dork and spend the majority of my days trying to convince kids that it is not only important but is really fun and interesting. Last year I took a bunch of my students to the Boston area to experience East Coast history and culture. As a result about half of them decided to apply to New England area colleges.
I’d rather go to bed at a decent time on a weekend and get up and enjoy the island the following morning. That doesn’t mean that I don’t enjoy the occasional night out on the town. However I’m not looking to meet someone who likes to divide his time regularly between the bars.
