Well, you are probably here for similar reasons.. too busy, concentrating on career, etc. etc. So I guess i'll tell you a bit about myself. I am interested in and active in politics, i'm a big baseball fan with my fave team being the Philadelphia Phillies, but I really just like watching the game in general and get to as many games as possible each season. :) I casually follow a few different teams in addition to my Phillies, as once I like a player, I tend to like to know how he's doing even when he's ended up on another team. I enjoy playing fantasy baseball and usually do pretty well. I enjoy playing softball too, but don't really get to play regularly anymore. I'm hoping to find a league around where I live. I'm pretty new to the area so I haven't really looked into it that much yet.
I love history, esp the U.S. Civil War/Revolutionary war and British Renaissance (ala King Henry VIII) periods. I love museums of all sorts and like visiting them whenever I can. I reenact the Civil War at different events throughout the year by dressing up as a civilian of the time by wearing the period dresses (yep the bell skirts!) it's a lot of fun and a unique way to share history with people and kids who are frequently brought to the Civil War Reenactment events by their parents.
I love animals of all kinds, and if I had the room, i'd have numerous dogs, cats, fish and birds! No, i'm not looking to show up on "Hoarders" or anything, just if I had the proper amount of room and facilities for them. A dream of mine is to have a small farm where I can have a few chickens etc. too.
With that said, I have been training and showing horses most of my life. I don't own a horse of my own right now, but instead give riding lessons on the side and train/show other people's horses. I ride in the English style, and jump over fences in competition.
As far as day to day stuff I enjoy going out and having drinks with friends, trying new restaurants and revisiting old favorites. I like trying new things and am pretty much up for anything.
I'm looking for someone who is fun and thoughtful.. I don't want to place all kinds of 'criteria' on who or what I am looking for, because sometimes the best friends or love interests you find, you had no idea you were looking for.
