After spending 30 years in the snow, I decided to leave Buffalo, NY for the sun, sand and waves. I've been living here in Sarasota, FL since July 2011. Honestly, I do miss my time on the ski slopes but I've traded in the skis for a fishing pole... never in my life did I think I would like fishing, but I love it (well as long as someone puts the bait on the hook for me and takes the fish off, I'm still learning!) Love to go exploring, see new things, spend as much time outdoors as possible along with catching a baseball game or two or twenty. I'm definitely missing the NHL season this year, after all when compared to football its the only sport Buffalo has a chance of winning a game in. I work full time as a registered nurse, thankfully on day shift after doing my time on the overnights (don't miss them at all!). Balancing fun and work are key, life is short, gotta enjoy it! Currently I live on the beach, so my days off literally feel like vacation, I wouldn't trade it for nothing. Friends joke around with me that I don't leave the island enough and I probably don't, but I enjoy the laid back life thats out here.
