I think I'm a pretty easy person the get along with. Pretty simple person, and enjoy the little things in life. You will often find me hanging out with friends or family. I enjoy trying new things and learning new things from the people who I come into contact with. I am always up for a new experience, but at the same time enjoy doing everyday things and try and keep a pretty good balance between the two.
OK, The Readers Digest version of me. Born in Tehran, Iran to an Iranian Father and an Italian Mother. Have one older brother, Dad passed when I was 18 from cancer and Mom is doing pretty well, retired by the beach in Carlsbad, Ca. I could go on and on about my Mom, my hero and best pal!! She's the strongest, smartest, toughest, most loyal amazing human being I know. Full disclosure, if you get me started on her, be prepared to listen for a while cuz I will brag on her non-stop! If you saw my pix you can see I have a son who is currently a 14 year old 9th grade High School Freshman. My boy is my pride and joy, and fills my life with spirit and hope each and everyday. I share custody of him and have the healthiest relationship with his Mom/Step Dad and we really have figured this co-parenting thing out pretty darn well I must admit. My life is really pretty drama free, it truly is!!
My work is more of a labor of love. I am a Middle School PE Teacher. Needless to say I love being around kids and athletics/fitness so it's a perfect fit. I mean let's be honest, I better love it, cuz you don't become a teacher for the $ that's for sure! I guess I'd be considered a bit of a jock, been playing all sports you could think of since I was small. Baseball was my true passion and I even had Big League dreams at one point, but a few knee surgeries and let's be honest a SLIGHT lack of talent kinda derailed that plan. But, I still stay active playing Golf, Baseball, Basketball, Tennis and Racquetball fairly regularly. But sports is not my only passion (and I am pretty passionate about sports). I like to think I have a cultural side to me as well. I enjoy live Theater, Museums, and learning new philosophies and cultures. I keep an open mind and heart to all things new and think everything and everyone we come across has something interesting to add to my life experience and I embrace the opportunity to learn from all new encounters.
Oh, and Music. Let us not forget music. Grew up with a hippy brother who drove the Jeff Spicoli VW Van, went surfing and listened to Led Zeppelin the whole way. So my first love because it's what I was exposed to is Rock. However my taste in music has changed/evolved throughout the years. If you were to see my latest Ipod playlist it would range from The Beastie Boys to The Beatles. Love Rock, Hip Hop, old School Rap, R and B, Disco, Hard Rock, Love Songs, Slow Jams and so much more. Been lucky enough to see so many of my favorite bands live, but still a bunch remain on my bucket list to see.
