I hate trying to write about myself. How exactly are you supposed to sum up in a paragraph your life story without sounding crazy, conceited, or worse, like you're trying too hard?
When you break it down, I'm pretty simple. I want what every girl wants - "the perfect guy". But really, what is perfect? Well, for starters, you can't be a push over. None of this, "Whatever you want honey." You need to have an opinion about things, but at the same time you need to be able to respect my opinions in return. I have no desire to get into a relationship where someone "wears the pants." If there are two people involved then it needs to be a partnership, not one person dragging the other around. I'm the first to admit that I tend to be a little shy to start off, but once you get to know me I'm not afraid to let you know what I'm thinking. I'm looking for a guy that's self motivated, working on moving forward and not letting life get too stagnant. I appreciate routine as much as the next person, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't always be learning or pushing yourself to try the next thing or take the next step. For example, I've worked at the same company for 5 years now. In that time I've transitioned through several different positions, learning new skills every chance I get while working to make myself better and invaluable to my boss and co-workers.
Family is important to me - probably one of the most important aspects of my life. Along with a positive outlook on life. I tend to be pretty sarcastic, but when it comes down to it in my heart I hope for the best, plan for the worst and try to remind myself to take things at face value.
My life is a journey that I take day by day and I'm interested in finding a man with a similar outlook that's interested in taking that trip with me. Cliche, I know, but still, sums up me and what I'm looking for pretty nicely.
