I live for relationships with family and close friends. I value those close to me and people over things. With friendships & relationships, I seek those who inspire & challenge me, and hold me accountable to be the best version of myself. I hope to do the same for my partner and friendships, generally. I value my time with my 8-year old daughter and am seeking someone who enjoys children and time with family.
I do believe in the law of attraction. You reap what you sow. You can't love another more than you love yourself. I believe that passion (interests) and vulnerability (truths about yourself and risk) must be shared. With that said, I am seeking an honest, loving friend, partner, and leader. I am looking for someone who is comfortable with himself (no egos please), easy to be around, and who shares similar values & beliefs, some of which I share here.
With my partner, I would like someone to share confidences, someone with which to be mutually supportive, and someone to make each day a little brighter :) While my partner need not have the same interests as me, I very much appreciate one with fulfilling & constructive interests to share. I believe in pursuing our genuine interests together and separately. I am seeking someone who surrounds himself by good people. I love to share good food and restaurants. I like to try new things and never order what I might routinely eat at home. I love ethnic foods , fine dining, and dives (don't prefer chains). I also enjoy a quiet move, an adventure, fun travels, or a party!
A bit about me: I am an extrovert and love to be around people. In my free time, you will find me outside and in some way active: running, biking, hiking, or walking with friends. I do a formal sprint or adventure triathlon occasionally and won Morgan's a year or so ago. I go to the lake and swim - bike - run with friends informally in the summer. I like to explore new places via running and have created my own 'tour' (9 mile run) of the Mall in DC and have toured several regional cities via half marathon. All of my travels need not be explored via running :) I enjoy traveling although my travels have been closer to home lately (meaning in or around East Coast-Midwest). I love to be by the water: ocean or lake. I grew up boating and water skiing which are still favorite past times. I value education and constantly seek to expand my mind and experiences. I love to read and try to make time each night to do so.
I grew up playing a lot of sports which comes pretty easily to me. I love to lead and coach: my daughter's volleyball team, Destination Imagination team; and volunteer with my Alma mater's women's basketball team. I would love to dedicate more time to service projects and do get to sprinkle in acts of service occasionally.
