To save you the trouble of reading my little essay below, here are some things you might want to know: These are recent photos, not from college or anything. I actually think I look better now than I did in college! (of course, that was the late 80s....) I'm easygoing, smart, athletic. I've been called a smartass occasionally. I love to travel. One of my favorite really quick jokes: Q: what did the fish say when he swam into the wall? A: damn! (it's funnier when you say it out loud.) If you would like to keep reading... I'm a pretty low maintenance, no-drama kind of girl. I work with kids who have disabilities and/or serious injuries, so I just have no time for people who are selfish or high drama. Life's too short for that. I'm usually game for trying almost anything at least once (except for karaoke, or eating slimy things like on Fear Factor). For example, I've done a triathlon and a mud run because my friends wanted someone to do the race with them, and I've gone to Belize on a week's notice. If you're the kind of guy who says, "I have an idea - let's do this!", and needs someone to say "okay!", then I'm your girl! That's not to say that I'm irresponsible or something. I'm so reliable I'm almost boring. (at least I hope I'm not boring!) So I'm sensibly adventurous? I think I have a good sense of humor. At least, when I say something I think is funny, people laugh. Unless that's just because they're my friends. (and maybe that's why they're my friends!) I love the beach. I could sit there all day reading a book or playing in the water, then have some happy hour cocktails and stay there until it starts to get dark - what's better than that? I love going to games, and it doesn't matter to me who's playing - I just like being there (and I love people watching!). I don't really watch sports on tv, other than football, sometimes the baseball playoffs, and the NCAA basketball tournament (but only the second half of any games). I admit I'm not much of a cook, but I'm a good kitchen helper because I take direction well, I don't mind cleaning up, and I'm good at opening a bottle of wine! I'm pretty lucky. I've got great family friends and a job that I like. It would be even better if I had someone special to enjoy things with. I think the most important thing I?m looking for in a partner is someone I love to spend time with whether we're doing something special or just hanging out. This would be just a good guy with a sense of humor who understands my sense of humor! He would need to have a positive attitude and an outlook on life that is similar to mine. That's not too much to ask, right?
