It's hard to describe oneself on paper, but here goes!
I am generally happy with my life. I've worked hard to make it what I want, and I love it. During my free time I love spending time with friends and family. I enjoy the occasional happy hour after work or a night on the town with my friends in the city, but I am also content with a night in, cooking and watching a good movie or TV show. I'm definitely health-conscious, but paradoxically, I love good food, love to bake, and have a double-dose of sweet tooth from my grandmothers. Staying active is important to me, whether it's going for a walk, taking a yoga class (my latest passion!), some sort of social activity, going dancing or heading to the gym. I've started to like hiking lately, but it's been tough finding someone to hike with among my friends! That said, I still turn into a couch potato on occasion when I really need to unwind!
I work as a speech therapist in a local hospital, working with children as well as adults. Although it can be exhausting and stressful, and can lead to a few couch potato days, I love my job. Every day that I've worked has brought some small reward or new challenge, and I feel lucky to have found my career.
The SF Giants are one of my passions and I can usually be found at the ballpark or somewhere watching a game during the season. 2010 was a long overdue dream come true, and I think I had a permanent smile on my face through November of that year! Classical music and opera were always around as I was growing up, and I still enjoy a good opera and any time I can get on the piano my friend lent to me.
I am looking for a partner. Someone who knows what he wants and is focused in his career, but is able to relax, be silly, and have fun. It doesn't matter if our interests are exactly the same, as long as we're both open to trying new things. I think some of the best times I've had were either teaching friends about something I'm passionate about, or learning about their own interests. If we ever go to a natural history museum, you can expect me to completely nerd out around the anthropology/evolution exhibits.
If this caught your attention, send me an email. I look forward to hearing from you!
