I have lived in NC for almost two years now after moving here from Kentucky for work. I live in Wilson....but enjoy getting out of town frequently. I love day trips to the beach or to Raleigh to go the flea market (or a night trip to a concert), and definitely still have a lot of exploring to do in NC.
My family is the biggest blessing in my life. My parents have been married for 30 years. My mom and brother are teachers, and my dad is a retired teacher and principal. Growing up, my family traveled a lot: to the beach, out West, camping, etc, and never took us to Disneyworld. If I ever have kids I want to raise them the same way.
I was recently in a community theatre production of "Fiddler on the Roof." Bonus points to you if you recognized my headline as a line from the song "To Life!"
Most people are surprised to learn I'm an introvert, as I am outgoing and outspoken. But given the choice between a party and staying in with my my dog and a good book on a Friday night, I'd probably stay in. I like going out if I have a purpose, like seeing a band I want to see, but I'm not a nightclub type gal and seldom go out just to "go out." I'm not looking for a life of the party type guy, either - I'd prefer to be with someone who enjoys evenings with some good music, wine, and conversation about interesting stories we heard on NPR, books we're reading, or the silly little things that happened to us during the day. I do love to dance, however...
Re: my status as "currently separated": I have now been separated for 12 months so my divorce should be final within the next month. I had a very brief marriage (less than a year in fact) and have no contact with my ex. I signed up for match because I don't meet many interesting guys in Wilson, and while I'm not looking for my next husband right away, I'd be open to meeting someone interesting just to see what happened.
One final note: the UK in my user name refers to my alma mater, the University of Kentucky, not the United Kingdom. Sorry to burst your bubble - I don't have a British accent!
