I enjoy an active lifestyle and making the most of what Des Moines has to offer. My favorites this time of year are the farmers market and yoga in the park. I like playing and watching sports and enjoy live music.
I really like my job and am driven to succeed, but it comes with travel and long hours. In my free time I try to spend time with my family and friends. My family would say I'm hard working, caring, and fun loving. My friends would say I'm loyal, honest, independent, and take a while to get to really know. They would all say I'm too competitive at board games, am a terrible singer, and have a subpar memory when it comes to names... but hey if that's the worst?!
I have a goal to take at least one trip out of the US each year and have done so for 3 years now. I enjoy traveling and experiencing new things, but I also find comfort in being home. I try to get out to Colorado each winter to go snowboarding, but I wouldn't dare enter the terrain park.
I'm looking to get to know someone that has similar values... has a work ethic, is reliable, prefers a healthy lifestyle, and is honest and caring... also, someone who doesn't rely on material things to make him happy, and a good sense of humor is a must.
Overall, I'm a happy, simple person and try to do things that make me a better as an individual, better at my job, or activities that are fun. I prefer to be drama free and don't think I'm high maintenance, but I do have high standards for myself.
A few disclaimers:
- I was over the whole bar scene when I graduated from college... so if "getting wasted" is still in your vocabulary, it's probably a no-go.
- You can't be the jealous type because my dog completely adores me.
