Let's admit the obvious...I'm kinda a nerd, and occasionally geek-out. I'm really passionate about what I do--art history grad student/professor. "Oh" you say, "That sounds so boring!" Well, the subject is very salacious and full of wit, fascinating group dynamics, and a ton of great stories. If you're curious, google 'Gericault', or 'Ray Johnson', or better yet, 'The Atlas Group/Walid Raad'.
And abruptly changing the topic...I love to laugh and see the upside of things. Mainly just excited to meet new and interesting people who are similarly engaged/passionate about what they do.
Do you like to watch bad films such as 'Miami Connection'? Exclaim: "That's amazing!" when looking at a 4,000 year old fossil at the American Museum of Natural History? Go to a lecture at the [insert location] because you are actually interested in the topic? Well, I love to try new things and learn about new subjects [except cooking...all I can say is, thank goodness NYC runs on take-out].
I bike and travel a lot (mainly because I'm curious about the world and like to jump into strange and interesting situations).
And finally, online profiles...well, i don't have fb, mysp., or whatever 1-and-0-space people generally spend their time on...so, if this little blip of a description comes across as 'online awkward', then at least it is honest.
