So, I am right there with you in not really liking to try to sum up why I'm here in a few paragraphs. But since that is how this works, I will give it my best shot :).
I am a passionate person, eager for new experiences, but also finding comfort in familiar ones. I am kindhearted and generous, and will bend over backwards to help those who mean the most to me. I have no patience for dishonesty or games, so I would like to find someone who is straightforward and not afraid to tell me what he thinks, not what he thinks I want to hear. I do tend toward sarcasm (in a playful way), can't help it, it's how I was raised, so hopefully you can play along! I'm an idealist, but also practical - I can dream while staying grounded. I am someone who, when I get into something, I get really into it. That has ranged from silversmithing in high school, to climbing in college, to yoga post-college, to my volunteer work in the last few years. Any of these can and have come back around too. That being said, I have so many interests that I sometimes can spread myself a little too thin. I'm trying to get better with balance these days - certainly a work in progress though :).
I have done a fair bit of traveling, both here and abroad, and I look forward to much more. I would certainly love a partner for that. Anything from diving around Indonesia to a road trip through national parks would be great. I also love going to music festivals and have a couple I go to every year. I like remote places and big cities equally. Either way, I far prefer the "back door" approach to travel - a cabana on the beach is far preferable to some fancy all-inclusive resort.
I enjoy a wide variety of activities, from camping
, hiking, and climbing, to a night out on the town, to a quiet night at home cooking dinner and watching a movie. You could just as easily find me dirty from a weekend in the woods as all dolled up to go out for a fancy dinner and a show. I hope to be with a man who is the same way.
The man I'm hoping to find will be my best friend, my inspiration, and my partner in crime. He is open minded, sure of himself, patient but passionate, and always looking for the good in life. If he's willing to watch the occasional Project Runway or Downton Abbey with me, all the better, but certainly not a requirement ;). Hopefully he has an edge to him, since i certainly do myself. My life is full and fulfilling, but I do look forward to having someone to share it all with. My family is very important to me, so hopefully yours is to you as well.
