So…….here we go. I have never entertained the idea of “on-line dating”, however I am a believer of trying everything once before forming an opinion.
All about me…………All and all, I am a kind hearted and loving person who is very independent and tends to have a strong personality at times. I speak sarcasm fluently, but not to the point that it is offensive. I tend to be very open minded, empathetic, outgoing, diverse, honest, loyal, friendly and just happy in general. I am also confident enough to know that I deserve to be someone’s priority……..not an option. That is not at all to say that I am a needy person. I enjoy my alone time and nights out with the girls, however it does mean that I love myself enough to know that I am deserving of a man who will appreciate and respect me. Easy as that. My friends would describe me as level headed, confident, hard working, fun to be around, and always up for a challenge. I have had many experiences in my life that remind me that life is very precious and that you should never take anyone or any day you are here for granted. I truly enjoy everyday and I thank God for everything that he has given me. I have been blessed with a wonderful family who has supported me through thick and thin and my friends are equally as great. They have all stepped up when I needed them the most and I hope that if they were to describe me they would say the same thing.
I live by the cliche of “everything happens for a reason”. Completely generic and unoriginal, I know. However, it has gotten me through the toughest of times and it helps me find the silver lining in any situation I am faced with. I am the type of person who WILL find the positive in every situation I am faced with. Negativity is contagious, and I tend to veer from those who find enjoyment in complaining or can not look past the bad to find the good.
What am I looking for? Someone to enjoy life with. Someone who is honest, even if they believe the truth will upset me-I assure you, I will get over it. I have learned that no matter what the situation is, as long as there is healthy communication and complete honesty - any issue can be worked out. I can’t say that I have a ‘type’ per say. I have dated men from every end of the spectrum, and I found traits in every one of them that I liked. But, if I had to hand pick traits that I find attractive they would be; motivated, goal orientated, honest, caring, genuine, funny, talkative positive. Physical attraction (mind and physical appearance) is very important to me I hope to find someone who appreciates a woman who takes care of herself and finds it important to keep the flame alive and well through out the duration of a relationship. I hope to find the man who will be holding my hand and giving me kisses even at 80 years of age. I enjoy the company of a man who can make me laugh and is witty. I also think it is healthy to know your strengths and your weaknesses and strive to make changes for the better. Life is to short not to laugh and enjoy it, even if it means you have to laugh at yourself once and a while, so I hope to find someone who is very well rounded and can just enjoy the simple things in life. Someone with a sense of adventure is a bonus! I love to travel and see, try, and do new things!
I truly am an open book, ask me anything. I love to meet new people, to get to know their life stories, and find out what “makes them tick”. I find human beings to be fascinating and I love that we are all originals………no one like the next. At times we are to quick to judge with out giving someone the opportunity to present themselves openly. I have to remember this as I start my journey on this new on line dating adventure! Everyone deserves a chance to prove themselves, right? ;)
