It's impossible to find a good way to start this profile, so I'm not even going to try. I guess I could say I've never done this sort of thing before, but everyone says that and I'd at least want to be original. But I don't have any pictures of myself taken with a camera phone in front of a mirror, so instant check in the pro column.
Some basic things about me: I love soccer. In fact, I think the world's most wonderful combination of things is watching Arsenal, eating pizza, and drinking beer. Preferably with other people around (so long as they're not Chelsea fans). I think Tina Fey is one of the funniest people out there, and love 30 Rock. My favorite movie is Happy Gilmore, with Old School being a close second--of course, maybe that'll change someday into something really cool that I don't even know about...
I have lived in Williamsburg for about four years now. I grew up in Newport News, went away for college in Memphis, then came back to the area for grad school. I just graduated in May from law school and am starting my career as a lawyer in Newport News. If you haven't left this profile yet, I promise it gets better (I at least promise it won't get worse...). All my friends from school moved away when we graduated, so really I'm just looking for people who are fun to hang out with, at least to start.
I like to go out and do just about anything: movies, drinking, going to dinner, etc.. I spent the past three years playing flip cup and beer pong, and I can honestly say I'm not looking to give those things up any time soon. Though now that I have to do the whole adult thing I'll save them for Saturdays...
I also like doing outdoorsy stuff and usually anything athletic. I find running is much more fun if you have someone to do it with. Not that running is ever really fun. I'm also pretty mean on the racquetball court. I can get behind playing just about any sport, and am usually pretty good, at least for a girl. Ideally I'd like to get involved in some leagues around here, but am waiting to see how bad my work schedule is.
I guess that's me in a nutshell. I'm pretty laid back, open to most things, and am kinda sick of going to weddings and work functions alone, so if any of this is remotely interesting, then maybe we can talk.
